changed TPS sensor

Default changed TPS sensor

i dont know if these two are related ,i un did neg cable installed new tps,connected neg cable drove 12 miles home from autozone....ran fine. then tried to crank nothimg but one click each time i turn the key
anyone else experianced this what did u do thank you also put old one back on still nothing

i bet ur battery cable isnt getting a good enough connection

hmm. i still think it's just not getting connection. don't understand why you'd unhook the battery to change the tps anyway. i didn't when i changed mine

You're supposed to unhook the battery any time you work on electrical. I don't always either.

When you short a wrench to a hot wire and burn the wire or fry a sensor you won't think it's so pointless.

well i traced and cleaned every ground cable and strap cranked right up thank you

Ohh how many times I've done that, and that was while unhooking the battery

Plus aren't you supposed to disconnect the battery to clear the memory so the computer can re adapt to new sensors?
