What years did the five spd with granny low come out 95 to 97?

If it shakes in 3rd gear you might want to fix the engine before you do the tranny swap...

If you can find a 87 and up f150 with the 5 speed still intact at a jyard then it will be an easy swap. The increase in mileage is nice but inconsequential if the engine isn't working as it should. A dead cylinder could make it too weak to use the overdrive...

Im not doing a swap my trans is staying right where it is im putting in a new motor and calling it good and it doesnt shake in od just low rpm in 3rd

In my experiance OD is worth about 2 Mpg. The lower the rear axle ratio numerically the better the numbers. We put a 20% OD on a Chevy 6 PU that had 4.11s and it increased mileage from 13 to 17 and made it usable for highway speeds.

Ok I'm not sure wht my ratio is but I am pretty sure I have a Dana 60 in the back

Ok when I look will I see a sequence of numbers or just a thing saying axel then the number

You will see a number or a number and a letter. Its a code. Mine is 19 which means its a open 8.8 with 3.08 gears.

On my tag where it says axel it only says BL
