None. The cheapos come with an assortment that may fit, but the press itself isn't strong enough for these FS truck BJs. The Snap-On press is more than strong enough, but it doesn't come with any adapters unless you buy the full ~$1200 set. I have it, and I don't use it because it's such a PITA. The adapters the Snap-On site says fit these trucks DON'T.
I use a propane torch, a big BP hammer, and a pipe drift. Torch the thinnest part of the steering knuckle that wraps around the lower BJ for a few minutes (to expand & loosen it), and then knock the BJ out. Do the same to the upper, but use the pipe drift through the lower BJ hole. Install the lower first, again using the torch & pipe. Then torch & knock the upper in. MUCH quicker, cheaper, & easier on the BJs than using any press.
Lower ball joint nut will not tighten the stem just spins the nut also has 3 small indentations which stops it from easily going on thread. Can some one please tell me if they had this problem and what the fix was.
Thank you .
Loosen the upper BJ &/or the camber cam. Put a jack under the lower BJ to push the taper into its bore. Make sure the bore & the taper are clean & smooth so they make contact, and that friction will stop the shaft from spinning as you tighten the nut.
