Default Shake in front end

I have a 1996 F150 4.9 5 speed 2wd and it has a shake in the front end. I've done brand new tires, new brakes/rotors, new wheel bearings, replaced some front end parts that were wore, and had it all aligned. But there is still a shake in the front end. It almost feels like more of a hop than a shake if that makes sense. I've jacked up the front and shook and had my son look and everything seems tight. What could it be?

Anything. You didn't describe it enough for anyone to even guess.

Wondering on who made the call on the parts replacement - could they have missed something, like a ball joint, tie rod end, or worn/failed bushing?

Aside from that, may have a look at the tire itself - could it have slung a weight, or to a real extreme seen with some cheap tires - not centered round? Along with a weak shock absorber, either tire issue might set off the hopping.

As Steve83 kinda said, hard to do more than guess at this point, just have to go through the process of elimination - if you don't know what it is, then start by figuring out and working through what it's not..

Good luck, and keep us posted.

swap tires left to right and vice-versa - see if the problem moves...

need more info and lots of new parts injected in to the equation.

the at "50 mph" leans towards tires, balance or bent, could be steering dampener....or ....

I have a 4x4 and I had a similar situation. Turned out being the axel pivot bushings were almost completely destroyed. Replaced now she rides nice.
