Default Where to start

To beef up the power of my 5.0 where is a good place to start? intake, manifold, headers? just would like some opinions.

I'm curious about this as well.... Previous owner put dual exhaust but I haven't had a chance to see what kind, and under the hood definitely isn't stock. Wonder what kind of horses he added?

Start with headers and dual exhaust, a couple of degrees of timing, manifold helps some with torque. Depends what you want to spend.

does an intake really make a big difference on these old trucks ?
with the fact of some with MAF and so without.

Search for "Six Liter Tuneup"....should have all the info you need on the ignition upgrades and timing bump.

wow thats sounds good.

but does it have to be the taylor wires and MSD ignition parts ?

i just put in new motorcraft wires that cost me like 80 dollars along with motorcraft cap.

You will benefit with mass air, any spiral core wires better than stock, intakes are pretty good in these trucks, the Mustang manifolds are based on truck manifolds, anything to get more air in and out the better.
