Default Thanks

Thanks for these pictures and all the information Johnnyboy.
Will really help me in deciding whether or not to purchase a pair of these.

I wonder how they would like with an H.I.D. bulb.

I have those headlights also but in black. I just ordered the hid kit for them. I know it says not for hid but the headlights were cheap enough. I also got amber led bulbs for the side lamp marker. U are right about the light output differance with the fog lights. looks good I used quick connectors on the turn signal. Hooked up the leds and halos all together then ran one hot to the running light and the negative the the ground. I believe the running light is brown with a red tracer and the ground is black. I used a test light and it went really quick.

I ordered the black ones too like leveled05stx, and by the way it sounds about the bad lighting, im probably gonna order some HIDs as soon as I see for myself just how bad the lighting is. The HID bulbs might be longer than the normal halogen, which could melt the plastic but they are a lower wattage than halogen, so I think i'll take the risk of the plastic melting cause it may not happen. The advantage that I think the longer HID bulbs will add is that they could solve how the halogens project a too narrow beam of light, since the HID bulbs will be further out of the socket and not blocked so much, they could project more light.

I'm new to this sight so I gotta take some pics of my truck to show you, and I'll definitely show how these projectors + HIDs work out

honestly i dont think they work with the truck at all...ugly imo...plus they are a killer on light output because they are designed to cut off hid light...thats my input

if you like em tho, good for you bro

Question Bulb Size

Just ordered a set of these for my truck (07 FX4) in black. What size are the bulbs in the projector and the lens beside it, or what was the silverstars you put in? Also, the reason it probably says not to use HID bulbs is because it has to by law (they are for off road use only) (Yea Right !!) HID's will be the best bulbs you can put in those projectors, hence the cut-off in the middle. I think they look GREAT on your truck, except for the fog lamps (mine are round) that truck looks identical to mine.

could be true... but i'm pretty confident its due to clearance issues. most hid bulbs require a certain distance from the tip of the bulb to the projector glass. they don't recommend hids due to this...

That is exactly what I was thinking Tide! I have also looed on e-bay for new Headlamps. There are plenty of them that say they are HID.??? I know...probably not. Not many things on e-bay are what they seem.
I can't imagine what a mail-order bride might look like bought off e-bay! Are the little LED's just for looks, or do they do anything?
