That reminds me, on the back of the light fixtures there is a notice not to use HID's. Don't know why, but if I was to guess, probably b/c of their heat output.

HID's run a lot cooler than halogen bulbs, but the HID ballast probably sticks the bulb to far out and gets the bulb much closer than it should be to the lense, and in that case it will melt the plastic.

I don't think that HID bulbs would work in the projectors I have. Check earlier in the thread

(Offtopic): JorgeRod, what size tires to you have & do you have lift on your pickup? Looking into getting larger tires w/ the stock wheels, but want to know how large I can go w/o rubbin'.

I have 325/65/18s on it right now. i was wantin to go back to 35/12.50 since they seemed to be a tad big thinner and a lil taller, but if u havent noticed, i have 2 different sets of tires on it. i have my old nitto's in the back, and my new kumho's in the front. i got all 4 nittos wit decent tread for 200, but the two new kumho cost me 416. i dont have a lift, just a 2" daystarr leveling kit. ive WANTED to get a lift, but money is what i need. they do rub, but only when the wheel is turned about 85%. so i cant really make sharp turns, just back into parking spots and stuff. makes it look good though!

Quick question: ur headlights were just plug&play, correct? that may be the new setup i add to my truck when i get paid.

Thanks for the info. The headlights are just plug & play, but make sure you pay attention to all that I said in this thread. Also, you'll need a soldering gun to attach the LED wires to where you want them. (Turn lights, running lights, or headlights.)
