Default Hardwire a tailgate Lightbar help

Not the brightest crayon in the box here, but I would like to hardwire a tailgate lightbar through the taillights instead of the trailer connector so I can use my backup camera without the computer thinking I have a trailer hooked up. I have looked for a rear light wiring diagram, and thought I saw a post with pictures but cannot locate it now. 2016 F150 XLT Screw. Thanks in advance

Thanks to whoever posted the wiring diagram. I also had a problem when I wired my taillight bar to the trailer socket...cutting out my camera and BLISS. All good now !!

These are what I used for my 502a lariat but I think I read somewhere the actual light wiring is the same color regardless of plug type.

I had some issues tying into the tail light wiring on my 2016 f150. I think part of the issue was a poor connection with the quick splice connectors. Another thing I wasn't sure about was whether I had to tie into the ground on the passenger side also. Four out of the five wires went to the drivers side (left turn, reverse, run/stop and ground) and right goes to passenger side. Do I also have to ground the passenger side? Thanks

I don't have the ground going to either light, I have it going to the frame.

I also used posi-taps which work great. No issues with mine.

Posi-taps are the easiest and best non-solder method for tapping off wires. Use them on my bike and truck.

do you know if these these diagrams are the same for the 2018 f150 xlt? Having the same issues with the Opt7 lightbar even with the special module. Lights works fine, truck still reads trailer connected and turns off the sensor and the auto engine shut off at idle. Not much help from Opt7 team.

I am going to sound like a broken record but here goes again. Their module is a complete waste of money. All it does is put enough load on the 4 way plug so that power flows constantly, eliminating the trailer connected and trailer disconnected message. Hard wiring is pretty easy. Putco's website has great instructions for wiring the Ford trucks.
