I was on the fence about the CBI bulbs, but after some reading I just wasn't convinced one way or another so I just went with what was most common in OEM applications.

I'll be trying the CBIs next for sure. Thanks for the heads up.

------

As for what to put in a bone stock 150 - I'd just say (if not projectors) get 4200/5000/6000k bulbs, low bean only, since hi beam doesn't do anything anyway.

For my sake, and for your sake, just don't go any higher than 6000k you'll regret it in the rain and snow. Plus they actually produce less than stock halogens.

Again, idc if you want HIDs in stock housings, it annoys me, but not terribly. Just don't get some retarded color.

oh no man... i was thinking that 6k was about as high as i would consider. maybe even just opt for a 5k kit and go from there.

and this is after i get new projectors. rather factory 2013's or Bill's. probably bills... cause ill want the biggest lenses possible.

In that case the FXR 3.0's have a 3" lens option. Looks amazing, I got the 2.5" but that was just my personal preference.

Youve got the right idea. 5000k and 55w - you certainly wont be disappointed. Even morimoto bulbs are a great option if you dont want to drop the cash for oem bulbs.

Why would you want to do that? If the projectors fit OEM bulb fitment then I would get an HID rebase kit.

2k is a lot of coin to drop on lenses and then try to get the extra coin for the bulbs.

then again, the list at bills is probably so long, that i'll have the new hid's ordered as bill's shows up lol

it's not what i want to do, but can afford to do. lol

Either way, I highly doubt the bulbs will fit as the OEM halogens are H13s and the projectors use a different bulb AFAIK. Just save to buy it all in one shot.

On a side note, 2K for just the heads without bulbs??

I have not seen a set for 2k ?? I think your miss informed. Even Bills with all the options he has he includes bulbs, ballasts, and headlights the max I can get to is $1500 but that's the top of the line setup on everything with custom painting and halos an that is plug and play?

I was gonna say, mine was like $600 from Tux with a few options (I did get a good discount since I was one of the first ones to talk to him ).

I am confused, If you have projectors that already fit and OEM bulb, then get a HID rebase kit to fit for instance 9007.

You can get a kit from DDM tuning with 55w slim line ballasts for 9007 Fitment for $90 before shipping. I selected 4500K for color because I like OEM color, not Purple or deep blue. Yes I am aware it says motorcycle, but it fits, just purchase 2. I do have this kit on my bike actually and works great!
