I posted the link above. You are right. The GVWR is 50lbs difference but the max payload is the same 🤷🏼‍♂️

if you scroll through it gives you the max payload for every single configuration they made as well as the frame dimensions.

There is a whole thread dating back to 2016... complete with trim packages.
From a production standpoint I don't see why Ford would make 1' longer frames any "stronger" than the typical box rail frame they bragged about many years ago.
Maybe they add a cross member...

Yes, that was my thinking too. That a longer truck would have lower payload, all other things being equal. Thanks for the input. That helps.

From my research it looks like there is a 100 pound difference in GVWR between the 145” and 157”, 7,100 and 7,200 pounds respectively on the 2024 models. At least that’s what I’ve noticed. I obviously don’t know if that’s across the board.

The 157" trucks have generally had slightly higher GVWR but that is offset by the slightly higher curb weight. I have not noticed that the 157" trucks had substantially higher payload myself.
