Uhm, I do. such as firewood, or my atv, or a bunch of coolers, or who knows what.
Bottom line is though, lots of people use the bed of their trucks.

I can't find it.

Care to highlight the 6,000 /7,000 lb trailer tow restrictions for the 2018.F150 with 53B or the related GCWR (3.3L 3.55 53B excepted)?

Are you talking about note 3 in the F 150 manual towing chart?

1 For vehicles without a Heavy Duty Towing Package, do not exceed a trailer weight of 5,000 lb (2,268 kg)
2 Heavy Duty Trailer Tow Payload Package (unless stated otherwise).
3 Medium Duty Trailer Tow Pkg. - Class IV receiver hitch. Max trailer weights by engine: 3.3L and 2.7L GTDI = 6000 lb, 5.0L, 3.5L GTDI and 3.0L Lion Diesel = 7000 lb
4 Max. Duty Trailer Tow Pkg. - Class IV receiver hitch. Optional on all models except vehicles with 3.5L GTDI Heavy Payload Package (HPP).
5 MAX Trailer Tow Payload Package.
6 Max. Duty Trailer Tow Pkg. - Class IV receiver hitch. Optional on 3.5L GTDI Heavy Frame Crew Cabs only.

Yes, it's in the Owner's Manual. It's not In the Towing Guide or Towing Selector for 2018.

With my truck full of fuel with me and the wdh in it I weigh 5360 lb. I really shouldn't put 1640 lb on the receiver and tow my equipment trailer loaded to 10% tongue weight at 16400 lb even if I'm within GVWR.
your 1640# if for your 2 axles not for only one. Go to a Cat scale and verify what is available for each axle vs GAWR mentionned on your door sticker when loaded with tt

I believe that is just an example of how the GCWR can be exceeded without exceeding the GVWR.
I agree with him. To many here paint with a broad bru.....Effen huge roll......Heck they just sling paint and see what sticks when it comes to weight.

Is this type of question not true on this forum and others? While some of it's tongue in cheek, it's not far off.

Yes. We will go up north to the camp with either the pontoon boat or a rented travel trailer. I only use a travel trailer a couple times a year at most so its not even close to being worthwhile to purchace one.
Obviously with the atv in the back I am going to be limited to the weight of the travel trailer. The pontoon boat doesnt weigh much.
But even so I think I can reasonably tow a 5,000 lbs loaded TT.
