Default New F150 Engines

Saw an add last night on TV that Ford will be putting a 3L Power Stroke in an F150 soon. Obviously this is to compete with the Dead On Dirt crowd. That kills the payload of the Ram though...Curious about everyone's thoughts on it here.

If I want to go diesel I'll move up to a class 4 truck and get the proven 6.7L Powerstroke.

They already are, have been available for a few months now. It's towing is on par with the 2.7 though.

Yep, they are already rolling off the line. From what little I have seen, it's main selling point seems to be fuel mileage, not towing or payload.

Next year they'll probably roll it out to the lower trim level trucks with some stupid payload numbers and just blow everything else out of the water.
