Need Tow Mirrors
Hey Everyone,
For some reason, my Max Tow Package truck only came with the standard mirrors. I am in need of a Tow Mirror that don't break the bank.
I called the dealership and they quoted me ~$900 for a pair.(Just the parts, not installed)
I've come across these from links on this site. They say that they are guarenteed to fit, but does anyone have any experiences with them that I can learn from? They are about a third the cost but if they aren't worth it, then I'll stay away.
Anyone have any other suggestions of places to look for good Tow Mirrors?
Thanks in advance.

Rockauto.
Try RockAuto. I live in Calgary and ordered a pair last friday. They appear to have been shipped from Edmonton on friday and show as scheduled for delivery today. I'll see when I get home. I ended up paying $257Cdn with shipping included.
Any of the 2009-2014 tow mirrors should fit as A1 is showing the same mirrors for my 2009 as you have in the link.
Rockauto's 2013 ecoboosts are only showing mirrors with the painted or chrome caps. If you don't need those, the black parts in the picture will fit fine.
You can install them yourself. The door panels are easy:

I've got the A1 mirrors on my 2010, I love them, I drive an 2010 E150 with factory tow mirrors, and I like these better. Perfect fit on my 2010, the turn signals work. no vibration

That's because you are in Canada. Canadian Ford standard and optional equipment is different that Ford USA.

Note that A1Auto Parts is in the USA. Call them and be sure they can ship them to you with no issues. If not, you can order them from any Ford dealer that's just across the border in the lower 48. Find a discount Ford parts dealer and you can get them for less that $350 u.s. Here's the link that describes them:
http://accessories.ford.com/kit-rear...ror-10319.html
Note part number DL3Z-17696-BA. Note the list price of $440.
Now find a discount Ford parts source in the USA. Here's one:
http://www.tascaparts.com/ford/f-150...=DL3Z-17696-BA
Note the discount price of $338.
That one is not on the Canadian border, but I'm sure there are similiar discounts parts dealerships that are located near the border.
But if the tow mirrors sold by A1 are the same as the OEM Ford tow mirrors, then their price beats even the Taska price. Now you just need to figure out how to get them delivered into Canada at a reasonable price.
Or maybe just find a discount source for Ford OEM parts in Canada. The part numbers might not be the same in Canada, but I'll bet they have a similar accessories catalog or website that includes tow mirrors.
Ignore that blurb that stated these require installation by a dealership. Bull puckey, it's relatively easy to DIY if you are at all handy with tools. Plan on at most taking a half hour per door the first time you do it. After that, it's a 15-minute job.

I just finished installing them. It took 45 minutes. you need to remove 4 bolts holding the door panel in place but no wiring needs to be unclipped except the mirror connection itself. I have some before and after pictures to share. It's a completely different rear view now. I will sell the originals with my **** slide on mirrors and recoup some of the cost. They appear to be solid without vibration. I'm looking forward to towing with them. The problem with most US suppliers is the cost of shipping, brokerage(up to 50% of the cost of the mirrors with shippers like UPS), tax, etc when you ship to Canada. The rockauto mirrors are shipped from (Edmonton in my case for under $16) Canada so you don't need to worry about the hidden costs.
