Way too much for a 1/2 ton. Generally you'll get the best ride, and still plenty of stiffness with about the same, or slightly less air pressure than recommended for P series tires. The wheels on a 1/2 ton aren't designed to hold together at 80 PSI. Look at Smokywren's data. An E rated tire at 45 PSI is rated for way more weight than a 1/2 ton truck can carry.
So yes, stock F150 rims on certain f150's are rated for 80lbs and ACCORDING to Ford are supposed to be aired up at the minimum of 55 on the front and 60 on the rear. Stock OEM factory rims and tire.

Smokey, I know your are right. They aren't not that rare. Currently in this area there are 3 2013 or 2014's crew cabs XLTs HDPP for sale . When I bought mine in 2013 in March. I got mine off the lot and there was at least 10 to choose from mostly in the crew and none in the Lariat in the 30 mile radius of my house. I would of got a lariat if they had one on the lot.
When I was buying in March the dealers received a whole bunch for on the lot dealer stock.

But the original post is about Cooper AT3 XLT LT's . LT's in E rating are 50 front to 60rear lbs and up to 80. If you run E rated LTs less than 50 you are gong to be under inflated and feather the edges. So if the original post doesn't have rims stated for that high. Then he needs to get C rated tires. But his original post is about E's and E's are 50 to 60.

This goes back to a thread in this section starting on 9/2/18 titled "bought new LT tires for towing and off road"
The thread was about E rated KO2 that is discount tires under inflated. The OP contacted BF Goodrich and the said E tires are to be at 55lbs or more. Thread was only a few weeks ago.
