Default LED Trailer Lights

I'm wanting to install LED lights on my trailer. The standard bulbs don't last very long. Does the factory wiring harness on a 2012 F150 correctly run the LEDs. My last vehicle wouldn't and I know others do not either.

I don't see why they wouldn't as you're just changing the lights, not the harness.

The LEDs don't draw much current and will not activate the trailer light circuits on some vehicles. I want to know if they will work properly on the new Fords

The LEDs on our flatbed work just fine with my 09. Could you describe the trailer better or pics?

Thanks, I'll go ahead and get them. I have a 5*9 utility trailer. Nothing special, but I want put LEDs on it. It only needs the 5 way tail lights and front side markers.

Wouldn't it just be 3 wire rear lights? Brake/turn, tail and ground?

Yes, but they only draw a couple of watts which for my Mercedes wasn't enough watts to turn on those circuits.

Well you're first problem is you're driving a mercedes

I'm pretty sure that on our pickups it doesn't need to turn on any circuits, the power is supplied regardless since there is a ground. Is it a 4 or 7 pin connector?

Yes, that is all that is needed.

I used to drive a Mercedes is the correct statement. I have a Ford now. Actually, the diesel ML was a pretty good tow vehicle if you limit it to boats and cars.
