Highest payload
haveing hdpp... vs just max tow, id take the 6.5 with hdpp, it will give you the most payload of any option. do u have vins or window sticker for them?
Payload is a function of GVWR - Curb weight and is variable by adding subtracting options, cargo and passengers.
As stated advantages of the HDPP = longer, truck, beefier frame, beefier everything really and with the larger GVWR increased payload several hundred pounds at least. You won't significantly offset the GVWR increase with the slightly longer and heavier frame and a bit more sheet metal.
My lariat HDPP has a stickered payload of 2330 where the non HDPP Lariats and NO moonroof run in the 1600 pound or so range so 700 ish pound increase.

Kind of a shame they dont make Lariat HDPP's anymore. But its probably because most people that buy luxury pickups arent doing what TerryD does.

I do love my rarest of trucks. You know you have the right truck after 3 full years you look at it and say "man that is one nice truck". We just did a 2400 mile round trip Colorado to California and back. I-80 to I-15 on the way out, I-15 to I-70 for the way back. 4 driving days, 2 out and 2 back about 10 or so hours each driving day. Being in the Lariat made all the difference comfort wise, we won't talk about the fuel bill tough about 9.5 MPG according to the liar gauge.
