I took mine my out years ago. No idea if it helped or hurt anything. 🤷‍♂️

I left them out.

Its come in handy more than once for me. Drive up to the "vehicle cant be taller than this bar" and see if she hits it. If it does, that parking garage is a no-go. Maybe I have an ingrained fear from absolutely demolishing a roof top tent in a parking garage on that rental Jeep.....but to each their own!

Otherwise, super clean truck and really well done! I enjoy reading this type of simple builds. Blue jeans is such a good color. I attempted to get into a second hand blue jeans 2016 Platinum last year, only for the dealer to sell it in the two hours it took to get up there. Le sigh.
I hear ya. I thought about that too but I'm not lifted either nor have any intentions to get a lift. One of my buddies on the Tacoma World forum brought it up to and said the same thing but he drives a lifted F250. I just eye balled the old one with a level and a ruler and I think it's maybe 8 or 9 inches from the roof line but it may be less than that. I'm more out in the country anyway so parking garages aren't a big concern as I rarely go in them

Thanks so much! I just turned 21 so I don't have much money to go blow on lifts and such as I'm still paying it off. I've already spent too much on it LOL

Yeah simple or tastefully moded trucks are the best IMO! Seems every other truck is super over the top or want to be SEMA trucks so it's nice to have one that's different than the rest. The Blue Jeans is growing on me. I kinda wanted a darker red but now that I've had it for a bit I'm happy with it. Sucks they sold it right before you got there! When we bought this one it was one of 2 or 3 used Blue Jeans on the lot but this was the only Lariat!

I bought an extended warranty when I got the truck through All-State at the dealer so I don't want to possibly void it though it's reversible

I shortened my factory antenna by 6” and it’s still just above the roof, just in case I need it for clearance. I’d kinda like a bullet antenna but don’t want someone to decide they want it more.

Park garages have always worried me except when I drove a Mustang, and I wasn’t really a fan of them then, either.

Removing them should not cause any warranty issues. I doubt most people would even notice if they're removed if they pulled the pipes off.

Just did the BOV VTA mod. Pretty cool. Can't hear it much from inside with the A/C and radio on which is fine with me but very noticeable with the windows down

Been having fun with the BOV over the last few days. Definitely get some smiles and laughs not just from me but people I pass by
