Default Need help picking Offset please

I am buying a set of 305/50/20 Cooper Zeon LTZ mounted on a set of 20x9 Incubus Krawlers. They are going on my 2011 F150 4x4 supercrew and I'm planning on using the Bilstein 5100's at their lowest adjustment of 1.5" to level the front. I have the option of getting a -12mm offset or a +12mm offset. I want the rims to be somewhat deep and have a lip and maybe have the tires stick out just a little but don't want it to cause any rubbing issues. Can anyone please help me make the right decision on the offset that would work out the best for me? Pictures would be awesome too! Thanks

-12 is basically 4.5" of backspace on a 9" wheel. You should be ok with a 32" tire or you can go with 5.5" of BS and run 33's w/ a level. You should also probably post this in the tire/wheel section. Good luck.

Cool man... Thanks for your help.. If you were me, would you go with the -12 offset or stick with the +12 to run those 32"?

+12. The -12 is more for lifted applications. The tires will stick out about an inch with the +12. It will look good.

Cool, thanks! One more question if you don't mind... Do you think that's a good choice in tire size? It basically comes out to a 32x12 which should be pretty close height to my stock 275/55/20 maybe a hair taller and wider. I don't want to go too tall since I drive a lot but I don't want it to look too short either.

I'm just learning about offset, so don't take my numbers as fact, but this is how I understand it.

Assuming that you have the stock 20 wheels with the +44 offset, the new 20x9 wheels with +12 offset will stick out 1.5" more than the stock rim. -12 offset will stick out nearly 2.5" farther than stock. Also, remember that you are adding either 1.5" or 2.5" to the outside, but taking about 1" or 2" on the inside (depending on which offset you choose), giving you a much wider stance.

Good info... Thanks. He is a pic of my truck how it sits today. My plan is to just put 1.5" in the front to level it. With that being said, do you think I could run the -12mm offset on those 305/50/20 without having rubbing and clearance issues? You see, I like the wide, fat lip look but don't want to over do it because it can look funny and cause clearance problems if it's too much. It's just hard for me to picture what it will look like when I'm thinking about it. Wish someone had some pictures with these different offsets. Anyway, thanks for your help and let me know what you think if you don't mind.
