Hahaha I wanted a Mustang sooooo bad, but knew I'd regret getting rid of the truck more than anything, so this is what happened. I'm very happy with it. It needs some love, but that's ok. The Miata was too perfect, just needing oil and gas, pfffff. What fun is that?
Ahhhhh sorry buddy!

Hahaha yes, that is true. I planned on doing about a 1" drop with coilovers and some Advanti Storm wheels, but the Mustang itch became too strong! The thing that bugs me about the Mach 1 though is how much more I'll spend on it vs. the Miata. It's already $2500 more, and it needs about $1500 in clutch and suspension work, whereas the Miata was mechanically perfect. But, it's definitely a much better looker and sounds SOOOO much better. I was at the gas station like 3 hours after I bought it and already had a compliment on it, gosh it felt great.

I go back and forth on that all the time haha. I think if I ever did anything exhaust wise to my truck, I'd just do a muffler swap for Magnaflow. Just enough to give it a good tone with zero drone.

I have a wanted ad in the for sale section of this forum. A member replied and I sent him a PM. He was trading in his truck, and had an aftermarket front bumper on it. The white one was sitting in storage. I asked him what he wanted for it, he said shoot me an offer. I said $200 and he said ok haha. Works for me!

Ok I need everyone's opinion! It's Miata vs Mach 1. I have the Miata posted for sale since I bought the Mach 1, but now I find myself not wanting to sell it (can't afford both). I've been wanting a Mustang for a while now, I've actually had 7 (I have problems), but I always find my way back to a truck. Well now that I have an awesome truck, I'd like a Mustang with it. Problem is, my favorite is a '13 - 14' 5.0, or a '16+ 5.0. I can't afford those until the truck is paid off (4+ years). The Mach 1 was more of a "I'd rather settle for this than have nothing" car. Here's my dilemma...
Mach 1 - Looks great, sounds great, and it's fast. I definitely miss that v8 sound and the raw power, but the Miata is still more fun to drive (just think go-cart on steroids). The Mach 1 does have quite a few chips/scratches in the paint, but they're only really noticeable when you're detailing it, but they're are quite a few. The interior looks so nice, but man does it squeak and rattle. Every turn sounds like cheap plastic twisting on each other, plus it feels like a boat compared to the Miata. The clutch is stupid heavy, which I think might be my first mechanical issue. I have ordered a new cable kit, but if that doesn't fix it, I'll need a new clutch ($800 after install). It has 125k miles, which is a lot for a Mustang. I'm scared how much this thing will cost me to keep it on the road. I HATE spending money on repairs, I just want to drive the damn car. Who knows, this car might hit 200k miles without a hiccup, you just never know.
Miata - Super fun car to drive! Does it look particularly good? Ehh, I think I can make it look alright, still nowhere near as good as the Mach 1. But the car is 100% mechanically sound and in better condition than the Mach 1. The interior quality is MILES ahead of the Mach 1, and the exterior is in better shape. The car itself is $2500 cheaper, and will probably depreciate less over time. Plus it only has 40k miles, so already 1/4 the amount the Mach 1 has.
So the Miata is definitely a better financial decision, and it's more fun to drive. But, the Mach 1 takes the crown in the looks, sound, and power. The best thing for me would be to drive the Miata and save for a few years and either pay cash for a 5.0, or pay the truck off and finance a Mustang. But I'm just not sure that's something I can do (I'm not very patient haha). What should I do????
