Default 2016 Oxford White XLT FX4 Build

So on April 23rd I pulled the trigger on my first ever F150! 2016 Screw XLT FX4 with 302A trim, 5.0 (love me a V8) and 3.31's. I actually went to the dealership to trade in my 2011 Ram for a new Mustang GT. Ended up not wanting a Mustang as a daily, so I made a deal on an F150. Funny thing is I've never been a big F150 fan, ever. Loved the F250's, loved Mustangs, just never liked F150's. When the 2015's came out, I didn't like them either. Then as time passed, they started to grow on me. I saw a few REALLY nice lifted ones and fell in love haha. Now I'm proud to say I absolutely LOVE my truck and have zero regrets with my purchase !

The night I bought her. We started the deal late so I didn't leave the dealership until almost 11pm.

I have since removed the middle head rest and that lower cup holder.

I was trying to hold off on the mod bug for as long as I could. I'm 26 and in shape, so I definitely didn't need the "grandpa steps" as my buddies and step dad would call them haha. Off with you!

The picture would look cooler if a Prius wasn't in the background haha.

I didn't see the point of the air dam and it made my truck look lower, so I removed that as well. I saw no noticeable MPG loss. Wanted darker window tint, so I put 35% on top of the factory privacy glass in the rear. Should be around 15% now.

The tint looks darker because it was cloudy.

The mod bug held off for a few months, which is a few months longer then I thought it would haha. I had been reading the forums wondering which level or lift I wanted to do. What size tires? What brand? Do I keep the stock wheels, or buy stock 20's? Just as I thought I had decided, my best friend and roommate buys a sick '14 with a 2" level and 35's. Ok yep, that settles it!

If this truck looks familiar to some of you, it's because it belonged to a forum member. Shout out to 96grimreaper! This truck is sick man, thanks so much for the inspiration!

So after my buddy buys that, I finally pulled the trigger. 2" Pro Comp level, 17x9 XD Addicts +18 offset, 35x12.5x17 BFGoodrich TA/KO2's. I absolutely love this set up. And yes, the crash bars were removed unfortunately. If I could do it again, I'd do the Porta Power and move them out because I think that would work just fine with my offset. Oh well...

Stock tires are in the bed.. cute little 32's haha.

Next was some Rhino Liner. I went back and forth between them and Line-X. I'm sure Line-X is as good as everybody says, but Rhino has been around for quite some time and was $125 cheaper. Plus I don't use the bed too much, and it's under covered parking at home and work, so this will be perfect.

Turned out PERFECT!!!

Needed some floor mats to help protect the carpet. Went with Husky Weatherbeats, I love them!

I really wish I had bought a white sport, but the only one the dealership had was sold earlier that day. . So now starts the de-chroming process. I bought a take off oxford white sport grille from eBay for $140 + $15 for shipping. Sold my factory chrome grille on craigslist for $140 in a day!

This was actually a pretty easy process.

I really wanted a stubby antenna, so I bought one off Amazon. While it looked awesome, the reception was poor. I returned it the next day, it looked nice though!

And finally, I wasn't a big fan of the completely leveled look. My front was 0.75" lower still, but it looked level if not nose high sometimes. So I bought the ReadyLift 3" rear block and installed that last weekend. Now I have exactly 2.25" of rake, perfect! I also had to buy factory steps again. After the level and tires, the truck is over 3" taller then from the factory. It was getting really hard to get in and out of the truck with jeans . I don't mind them, though I'm thinking about rhino lining the steps as well. So here's where she sits now!!!

Perfect amount of wheel poke!

I'll have to get some better pics, these kinda suck. I'm still working on de-chroming my truck. Some days I like the chrome, others I really wish I had PTM. I could probably paint the handles myself, but I don't know what I would do with the bumpers. I'm also thinking of getting Katzkin leather, just waiting to convince myself that $1400 for leather, when I'm ok with my cloth, is reasonable haha.

Wow your truck looks great! I just bought almost the same truck and have been going back and forth on the direction I want to head. I'm also not a huge fan of the chrome and have been thinking of adding more black but I didn't know how it would look. I think you just helped me with that decision!

Thank you!

Yeah I really wish I had bought a white sport FX4, but the dealership didn't have any of those. Some days I like the chrome bumpers and door handles, some days I don't. Changing the chrome grille to a sport paint matched grille was a GREAT decision, it helped offset the chrome sooo much.
