Haha yeah I could understand that. I'm trying to save some money myself. I'd like to pay the truck off in 3-4 years and buy a nice Mustang GT, but there are so many things I want to buy for my truck!

Quick update... after some debate and reading up on this forum (gosh I love this forum haha), I have decided to put the crash bars back in my truck. I will either use a porta power to spread them out, or I've read you can swap the fronts from side to side and that'll give you more room. The crash bars are why the F150 got a 5/5 star crash test rating from IIHS. The things in yellow are crash bars.
From what I've read, removing them could possibly void any insurance claim because you removed a safety feature from your vehicle, plus it puts you and your passengers at more of a risk. Check out these 2 pics, can you guess which one has crash bars? I'll give you a hint, it's the first one.
Ford only put them on the 2015 super crews, not the super cab or regular cab. Once IIHS came out with these results, Ford put them on all 2016+ cab configurations. Since mine were cut out by the shop that did my leveling kit (with my permission), I'm going to have to buy new ones. I can only find the fronts on eBay which are $20 each plus shipping. The rears I have to get through Ford and are $50 each. Then I'll have to buy a porta power, $100. So it looks like I'll be in around $250, lesson learned. I'm hoping to have this done by next weekend. Here's where my crash bars used to be...
I'm thinking I might do a write up on how to install or swap the front crash bars, try to get the word out so people will stop removing these bars. THEY'RE FOR YOUR SAFETY!!! I'll update this thread once the bars are back in.
I'll need some time to recoup, but then I'll start with the upgrades again. Looking at new headlights!
