I just took mine apart a couple of days ago. After removing the two screws, gently push or pull up on the front of the gauge hub. After you feel it become loose, pull it twoards you. Its a little difficult to pull but it will come out. Hope this helps!

Does anybody know the part number for the bulb? I need to do this repair, but my manual says "see the dealer for replacing instrument cluster bulbs". I couldn't find the part number on any online Ford Parts searches either.

I would really like to have the bulb in hand before I start removing trim.

Thanks for any help.

Default Bulb part number

I meant to add in my last post that it's on 04 F-150 Supercrew... if that makes any difference on the bulb part number..

Thanks!

Just go to the dealer. The bulb costs peanuts and they will know what to give you. It's a quite common bulb.

Default blank display

I had the same problem with the blank display on my 05. I found that the reason for it was the display screen has some wires (prongs if you will) that goes into a connector on the circuit board. The way i fixed my display was by lifting the black the backdrop of the instrument panel (the laminate with the the speed) and removed the display, after removing the clear cover of course. I then reinsirted the display and made sure each prong went into its respective connector. Im not saying this is everyones solution but it is worth a try.

I didn't have to remove the clear plastic cover at all I just flipped the display over and took out a couple of the screws on the plastic on the back of it and the bulbs are right there.

Just wanted to confirm before I go back to Ford and say BS. The light bulb that lights up the odometer/Info Center on my 07 F150 can be replaced. Ford dealership told me they had to replace the whole instrument cluster.

Another thing i tried to get the backlight of the info center working was that i removed the light bulb that lights up the high beam and lets you know that you are currently using the high beam instead of regular driving lights and placed that bulb behind the info center which worked for me.
