I need a catalytic converter says the dealer. Won't be in until Tuesday. This just blows at 2,000 miles.

Daximus, you should clearly see that i was responding to Gimmie 11. Sorry that you thought that i was posting to you and getting in on your post. Yes only a dum*** would believe stock for stock a raptor would get better fuel milage than a EB. My argument is that when adding tires and etc the eb mpg dramatically decreases. The only why i know this ( because i obivously dont own one) is from research on this site. Oh, btw daximus did I mention you said your truck was better than a raptor may want to look at my post again.

This statement insinuates that your engine is 'newer' tech. You might want to look up when direct injection was invented, when it was first used on gas engines and when both were combined with a turbo. You might be surprised that not only is it not new, NONE of it was designed/invented by Ford.

That isn't to say that it is somehow bad - its a very good engine in fact - technologically advanced it is not. That's marketing baloney.

The 6.2 produces gobs of power and tq and still manages a solid 12-14 mpg in a 6000lb truck that's lifted on 35's.

The Ford 6.2 is one of the most advanced large displacement gas engines in production, but isn't any better or newer tech than the Eco or 5.0.

Not trying to start or perpetuate a fight, just add facts to the rhetoric. If you don't like engine xxx, that's fine, keep the snide comments to yourself - particularly when not based in fact.

Yup. Same as mine. How weird. I can sort of get the condensation thing, sort of, but I can't wrap my head around how this ends up killing a cat.

Are the Tuarus SHOs doing anything like this? Same motor essentially, right?

My bad. That's how I perceived the tone. Damn internet, lol. My overall point was that if I wanted 35s and all that stuff I wouldn't expect nor be bitching about mileage...which I'm not. Again, I want a gas sipping luxury car during the week, and something that can pull my tows on the weekend. For those concerns my EB fits the bill perfectly...notwithstanding the occasional rainstorm, lol.

I edited my grumpy response, lol.

No problem. I dont blame you. If i had to drive a lot during the week i probably would have considered an EB but i put around 700 miles a month.

It's raining facts! I'm going to get my umbrella.

And I appreciate the advice, but I'll be as snide as I like when making statements of my own opinion, in my own thread, about my own truck, or it's future replacement should it continue to act silly. There isn't a single fact in anything you just posted other than to let me know Ford didn't invent the things I mentioned earlier, which I already knew.

You truly have destroyed my argument...the argument that I wasn't even trying to make when I gave my opinion about the 6.2 being dated. Well played sir.

Just so we're clear....in order of most advancedness to least advancedness, 6.2, 5.0, EB. Check.

Fair enough. I stand corrected, be all you can be...
