No thanks, I'd rather have a 'Stroke than that old relic.

There is something to be said about "proven technology". Sometimes an "old relic" is not a bad thing.

Very true.

As soon as I posted that I though "Oh ****, here we go, lol." Let me clarify...while the 6.2 is an amazing motor, and it is, I prefer something a little more modern. For instance, one could argue that the 5.0 is an "old relic" but Ford has clearly brought that beast back from the dead al'a the Coyote treatment. Tell me next year's 6.2 gets a similar makeover and I'm back on board, lol.

I appreciate a strong old motor, I'm just not one who tows the line with "there is not replacement for displacement." Sure there is...it's called forced induction, variable valve timing, fuel injection or direct injection, more gears in a transmission, better fuel mapping, and better overall designs, lol. Now all things being equal, bigger is normally better, true, but if we didn't embrace technology we would all be re-jetting our "double pumper" Holley carbs, lol.

Side note: I hate carburetors. /end rant

Gimmie 11, put 35 inch tires, level front end, and put around 3-400 pounds of weight in back of that condensating eco boost then tell me your mpg? It will be worse than that old relic 6.2. Just look around, your buddies will tell you.

Dont need my buddies to tell me anything but thanks for the offer.

Ive got 20k on mine and get 20+ mpg all day long............. Am i a bit worried that ill fall victim to the dreaded ECO misfire? Sure......... id be lying if i said i wasnt.

But at 20k........ the likelihood of that happening is not so much.

BTW............whens the last time you broke 15 mpg to an entire tank?

And whats your plan when gas hits $6/gallon and your still making $700 payments on your pavement pounding chick magnet?

lol

thanks for playing.

enjoy.

But I don't want 35 inch tires, a level front end, or 400 lbs of crap in the back.

I wan't a gas sipping leather clad luxury car during the week, and a boat/jeep/4wheeler/motorcycle hauler on the weekends. Week=5 days. Weekend=2 days.

Now, as long as I avoid rainstorms, I have exactly what I want, lol.

First of all you started your little smack talking comment which i adressed so why dont you adress my smack(or what i call a simple FACT) talk instead of beating around the bush about my truck note that will be payed for next year(which i dont think gas will shoot up to 6.00 g in one year, but who knows with the way things are going lol).I average around 15.3mpg 70c/30hwy. On a 4700 trip from Louisiana to yellowstone NP averaged 17.2mpg. Focus, you talked trash about the 6.2 mpg and i talked about the prius-boost mpg with mods. Do you do the little wave when you pass other prius's. BTW, not here to play the little game my truck is better because ecos are one of the smartest gimmicks ford created for the f-150 just defending the 6.2 in a matter of FACT way the same way you should defend the EB.

Well i posted facts............. see pics above.

Where is your dash display showing your beloved 17.2 mpg Yellowstone trip?

Do you really believe that 35s and 300 lbs will make the Eco perform worse than the 6.2 mpg-wise? Even you cannot be that short on the smart stuff.......

Edited because I was being a jerk for no apparent reason, lol.

Carry on.
