I checked my oil when I first got the truck (26 miles). The oil was so clean I really couldn't see where it was on the dip stick. I checked it again at 1500 miles and could see that it was about a quart low. I changed the oil and filter and now have 1700 miles on it and it is now 1/2 quart low.

2013 F 150 with 62K miles - needed a new fuel canister - engine shut down right in the middle of the highway during rush hour - and the fuse board needed a new "replacement Kit" as it was a poor design as I was told by the dealer - should be a recall - anyone have this happen on their 2013? Dealer is telling me it is quite common - I dont buy it -

I work at a dealership and to be honest I dont think Ive seen either one of those replaced, not at that kind of mileage anyway.
Only major repair we've done on any of our 5.0L's is a couple of water pumps that crapped out early. (no engine damage done)

i just drove my 5.0 on a 700 mile trip and checked it before and after and appears to be at same place. I do have the right side tick and a faint knock that I have posted about that comes and goes. 49k on it now.

I just got done changing the oil in my truck. After 6500 miles using motorcraft 5w-30 it was about a half quart low. I drained the catch can, ended up with about a quart of fluid from that. Smelled heavily like fuel, and had a good amount of oil. Its a common thing to see.
