And I brought this up the other day asking if anyone has compared the 11/12 models to the 13's. You can see some feedback here https://www.f150forum.com/f38/anyone...oboost-193700/
Well that completely blows the previous two hours I spent on this..
I guess I'll delete everything I wrote, and replace it with 'read the post below'(yours)
I believe I actually posted in that thread about driving a '12 and a '13 back to back right before I bought mine. I drove each of 'em 34 miles(it was the size of the loop I drove) and couldn't tell any difference. Of course the salesperson said the differences between the two consisted only of a different grille, different NaV station, and HIDs, but you can never fully trust what a salesperson tells you. Especially when it could be different turbo sizes. That would go right over most of their heads.

I just bought a 2013, so I would like to see if the numbers are any higher.

Hey guys, I just bought a '13 FX2 EB the other day. The build date on the truck is 8/12 so I didn't get the updated intercooler. They supposedly didn't start those until 9/12. So after reading this, I'm wondering if I even got the 51mm turbos... Do you guys know what to look for to determine the bigger turbos?

Pull a turbo off and measure it. Most definitive way I know of. The 13s also have an electronic blow off valve.

I'm going to assume that the digits on the bottom of my invoice are the build date (next to "Convoy"....if that's it my build date shows 10/09/12.....

if not...is it on the inside door jam?

Yes it is. On the driver's door, on the upper corner of the white sticker.

I've wondered what those are down there at the bottom. I think we all know the decoding trick with the big number at the top, but we also know it isn't exact down to the day, but close enough most of the time. The date down in fine print at the bottom near convoy/MSRP - could that be the actual exact build date?

traded in my 12 eb fx4 for a 13 fx4. Had some tranny issues on the old one. The turbos are defintly louder and the truck has an overall smoother powerband. The 5 star tune really makes them sing! Wonder why ford upsized them
build date 10/12

If you're talking about the date listed at the bottom of the MSRP sticker, it's the ship date.

Thanks, well the build date can't be far off, mine shows 10/12...so between 10/01/2012 and 10/09/2012 I know it was built. That'll work for me.

I know I really can't hear the turbos on the truck yet, but I know in my patrol car it took about 5,000 miles and now you can them spool and boost (2013 Interceptor). I figured if they put it in a patrol vehicle the motor should hold-up descent.
