SCT BDX for a 2018 3.5 Ecoboost

BDX SCT with 5 star tuning
Just pulled my camper 287 miles one way, same road, and tested the 5 star tune with SCT to the ford factory tune. The ford factory tune I averaged 11.7 MPG. The 5 star tune I averaged 11.2 MPG. Not much difference but for the cost I did expect to see better performance. Contacted 5 star and it was my understanding if I get better performance mpg will decrease. I drove the speed limit on both directions so not sure I could see any power differences.

Sorry it didnt work out for you. I just loaded mine on my 2013 3.5L ecoboost and it woke it up to say the least. I dont have any numbers to post yet but I am beyond impressed. Throttle response is amazing and power enhancement is two thumbs up.

I purchased the BDX SCT with 5 star tuning about a month ago. I had the economy program and the performance programs for my 2017 F150 with 3.5 L engine. The economy program reduced my fuel economy from about 24 highway to 21 MPG and my city from 20 to 18. The performance program, I cannot tell any difference from running the truck in sport mode. I do not normally run in sport mode so cannot really tell if there is a difference. My fuel economy with the performance program was 18 MPG. I have reinstalled the factory program as my truck seems to run better with the factory program. Wasted $500 where I could have did better options to my truck.

Before canned economy tune.
After canned economy tune. Same road (hilly backroad) same cruise control through the run, same speed. Yet, this was on normal mode versus eco mode set above on the stock run.
For $300.00 (20 bucks discount) I cant complain about the Diablosport Predator 2 Platinum tuner/programmer. Comes with Diablo 93 octane tune, Diablo 87 octane, 93 performance tune, 87 performance tune, Diablo tow tune and the 87 octane economy tune. PLUS, i can still hold custom tunes if I want to pay for it.
I'm not saying one programmer is better than the other, just saying what I got from this tuner so far. Even in economy tune, I was chirping the tires in 3rd and throttle response was improved (in normal driving mode. Eco mode is still sluggish and upshifts at low rpms). Anyways, good luck and I hope to see post on what you get.

Agreed. This was just a test after install. A small sample. Will be doing a 90 mile test from where I live to Midland, TX. It's a hilly freeway that has about 30miles at 80mph, 30 miles at 75 mph and 30 miles at 65 mpg. Those 20 miles at 55 is a road I use to commute so it's a big difference for me but I will post new numbers ASAP.

Update on my Limited Edition ecoboost upgrades
over the weekend I installed a MBRP 4" cat back exhaust with a 5" polished MBRP tip. Plan on ordering an intake in the next week or 2. I installed the 93 octane tune on my SCT BDX tuner this morning and filled up with 93 octane gas. I will see how I like it soon

I recently put in the sct bdx tuner. I installed the canned tune just to see if it would make a difference and the only way to change tire size was to install tune. I have to say that other than better shift points the tune has no advantages. Truck is already fast and I really don't need increased proformance. But was considering purchasing the 5* 87 tow/proformance.
