Default 2010 Turbocharged F150 4.6 2v

Ive been seriously considering turbocharging my truck. I want a little more power on the road. Ive been doing alot of research and im having alot of trouble finding anything besides the STS turbo kit. I came across this site. http://www.on3performance.com/mustanggt2v.html Im considering buying the 2V kit. I know the have the same modular motor.

Im asking for a little advice before I order this kit. Ive talked to a couple of shops and I found a guy that wants to help me with the setup. Will the mustang headers fit onto my F150? I know the 42lb injectors will work. The kit looks like im going to need the focus fuel pump and a programmer.

Does anyone know or have any experience with turboing there truck?
Will the Headers fit form a 96-04 mustang GT?
Which programmer should I use?

And also ive been getting rumors that one of the main reasons why the 4.6 F150 isnt that fast is because of the gears being so low. Could I change them out and increase my take off speed by alot?

Let me know your guys imput and I appreciate your time reading this. This thread is not for my imagination. I have the money and im ready to do this so please be respectful. Thanks

Yes, going to a higher number (4.10 over 3.08/etc) will always net you better take off and a much more responsive vehicle on the gas. It will cause your highway RPMs to go up though. But if you're off road, pulling things, creeping up boat ramps, or basically doing anything but driving an empty truck to work, higher number gears are going to be better.

Using turbos requires a different approach than conventional, meaning if your gearing is too short (ie 4.56s) then you are going thru the rpms too fast to let them do their job. Turbos like to push against taller gears (ie 3.23s) & build boost. That's why you see supercharged/nitrous/NA cars leave them off the line, but turbos run them down on the big end.

Maybe not so many 09-10 but certainly 04-08 and even earlier. No worries, someone will find this thread to help you out.

Yea I mean I made a thread before and got no help there. I just picked up the on3performance turbo kit today. My buddy Jeff from JCP is going to instal and fab the setup if needed. I still need to get a Fuel pump, 42lb Injectors, and a programmer. Jeff is recommending the Diablo programmer.

Here are some pictures btw this kit is for the engine bay. Its not a water sucker (So they say)

Any updates? I'm looking at this same kit and was curious how much other equipment had to be purchased on top of the kit? And what were the final hp/torque results? Thanks and that's a sick looking truck you've put together.

I can’t find anything for my truck as far as kits or individual parts go I guess where they went to 5.0 in I think 2011. But I’d greatly appreciate any and all info pretaining to my plans
