Default Flip kit and traction bars

So I did my 2/4 Belltech kit. I’m using Caltrac traction bars. With the Belltech kit the drop hanger goes in the front of the leaf spring and the lowers the mounting point for the traction bar. I have about 3” of clearance. I see some flip kits that include a hanger but it goes in the rear of the leaf or even the Crown flip just uses an add a leaf. With the Belltech could I just remove the front hanger and get a hanger for the rear? Any help or thoughts would be great.

If you remove the hanger you are going to go from a 4" drop to a 5.5. You could use the factory rear shackle in place of belltechs and I think that makes it an even 5" or add leaf like you said.

That’s what I wasn’t sure about with the hanger. Is it possible to remove the front hanger and add a rear hanger? If not I’ll just do the no hanger and add a leaf

You want a shorter rear shackle in the rear to lift the rear if you have a flip kit. Not sure there are any shorter than the factory I have never looked. If you put a longer rear shackle with a flip you are going to be even lower.

BWoody will soon be coming out with long bars that have Johnny joints instead of Helm joints. They made a set for Dorian's (Undertaker) Regular Cab with 2/4 flip kit. They look nice and don't hang down much like the Caltracs. The owner said he was making a set for his truck that does not have a flip kit to see if there were any differences. They will run them a while to see if there are any problems and then start making them.
