So early this morning I did the zip tie mod, very simple and easy and the difference was night and day when i drove her around today. My only concern is, i saw a video on youtube that said the rubber bumper/piece is supposed to be on the end towards the metal of the cable but mine was stuck to the part of the pedal, so I just put the zip ties in closest to the metal end of the cable. I hope this makes sense to someone, just wondering if I will have a problem. If i do, i wouldn't hesitate for a second to make sure its done right as this is the best 5 cent mod i have done. I was skeptical at first, cause it seems like a jimmy rigged setup but i would never go back. If anyone has questions wondering what i mean, i can try to explain or i can get some pictures up when its light. Thanks everyone

Yes if I have no problems I will definately put some pics up for you. Hopefully I don't have any problems I love it now. Have it set just right where the throttle can be open all the way but have just a little give so it doesn't mess up the idle.

Yes in a sense... when you look under the dash/steering column, you can see where gas pedal connects to a cable. You can tell if you move the pedal back and forth. Noting that all of this should be done when the truck is OFF. Lol. But anyway, The slack in this cable is preventing the throttle from opening up all the way thus restricting your vehicle from operating at its full capacity.

How much more touchy would you say the throttle is after the mod?

Lol Wut?

Rumber? Are you making up words? This is about as easy of a "mod" you can do as long as it's not too tight where you are changing your idle rpm.

You're fine. Don't worry about that youtube. Remember that I can post a video that says peeing in your gas will give you better mpg...
