That was back in 08 and it hasn't made a peep (or whine) since.

If you attempt this, you must never let the reservoir go dry or you can F it up. It's not all that forgiving lol. That's the only thing you have to be careful of. It can be by yourself. I had the front end jacked and turned the wheels with my foot a bit to flush it out well. Works!
I did the same thing twice. The first time using Lucus power steering fluid. The second time using Ford type F trans fluid. I guess mine is too far gone to operate quietly. It's too damn cold now to do anything about it. I don't have heat yet in my attached garage.

Nonsense, you need to use GOOD stuff. Not Lucas and not F. Use 100% Synthetic trans fluid that will keep things cool when need be and stuff that won't thicken up in cold weather, sub zero.

The stuff that I've seen work wonders is that Amsoil crap. Well, guess I shouldn't call it crap, but works "wonders" , - Hey, if I hadn't seen for myself.... Hell we would even used their grease out in the field, since the stuff was the ONLY lub that wouldn't lock everything up w/below freezing temps. Stuff's not cheap, but you seriously do get what you pay for.

Thro it in the transfer case as well, just takes a few quarts. I swear most of time servicing transfer cases, it looked like they were full of swamp water lol. I admit T-cases do get ignored quit a bit.

I wouldn't use that stuff in the crankcase tho, - unless you have a good understanding what may happen, if your not careful.

Mmmm lube.

My buddies always comment on how I have cans all over the place. I have white lithium grease on my end table right now and keep some liquid wrench in the truck. It's as handy as duct tape.

It's a week into december, how is winter just starting? Winter has been started for a month in Canada Land. Also, global warming isn't a thing I'm convinced as the weekly temp average is like -30. It should be like +30 if global warming was a thing.

Here are some pictures for what people in Florida are missing.

Right, it's more like a global deep freeze IMO.
