Default This Weekend's Project-Badges and Nerf Bars

Hey Gang,
Here are some pics of this weekend's project. I've been making some small mods to my '03 Screw over the last six weeks and just want to share the latest changes.

First thing I did was to install the latest generation badges on the fenders. I left the Triton V8 from the old badges on. I just need to get some touch-up paint for the lettering on the old badge. I still need to find a cool badge for the tailgate. Any suggestions are welcomed:

Be careful not to scratch your truck when removing the old badges (like I did ). Here is another from the other side:

The next project this weekend was the addition of powdered black nerf bars. I chose this over chrome because I think it looks better with the charcoal gray color of my truck. What do y'all think about this weekend's work?

Where did you get those new badges? And did the new ones have the little pins in the back? Did those pins match the old ones? Sorry about so many questions but they look good! Haha

Lol! No worries about the questions, bro! That's why I posted the pics. I got the badges off of Ebay. The new badges do have pins, but they do not line up with the old holes. The pins snap off easily with a pair of needle nose pliers. There is also an adhesive on the new emblems, so no need for pins anyway.

What did you use to line them up? How much you spend on them?

I used a ruler and masking tape to measure and line it out. The existing Triton V8 badge was a guide as well. The badges were $66 on ebay plus shipping.

I like the look of the new badges! Looking to do new xlt badges myself. I dont like the old badge below it. I think it looks cleaner without it but hey man its your ride. Do you have link from ebay for badges?

They make a tailgate badge thats just says "f150" without the xlt part. I used them on my fender. Also used on "limited" f150s.

The limited ones are the ones you really want because they're flat on the back. The tailgate ones have a curve on the back of them since they go in the channel on the tailgate.
