Before you tear too far into the dash. Check you "GEM", or Generic Electonic Module. It is on the backside of the fuse box. It controls your 4 wheel drive, it has its fingers in your gauges working properly, windows, turn signals, just about everything. It ALSO has the stupid idiot gonger in it for when you leave the door oern and such. Sooo follow the sound and it wont be hard to find.
i believe thats exactly what i was looking for...but im not sure exactly what parts i should take off to find the easiest way to get to my GEM...i suspect that its my GEM because this isn't the first time its been mentioned as the potential problem....if it IS the GEM, and i manage to locate it....is it possible to replace it myself, or should i leave it to a professional?
