Default Upper and lower control arm replacement

Has anyone out there had need to replace the upper and lower control arms on their '03 F-150 and took the job on themselves?

If your a decent mechanic, they are both fairly simple. A Haynes manual will help. Make sure you get an alignment when you're done.

I'm replacing uppers and lowers after a quote of 700.00 + parts!
I bought upper and lower control arms with ball joints and bushings installed
on line for 193.00 includes shipping. you'll need coil spring compressors.

And why would you need a coil spring compressor? These trucks don't have a coil spring anywhere in the front?
