I can't seem to find a definitive answer to this but are the stock upper ball joints replaceable or do I have to buy new a-arms? From what I've read, the lower ball joints can be replaced without replacing the a-arm but I can't seem to find if the uppers are replaceable.

 

you have to replace the upper arm

 

yep....the whole arm has to be replaced

 

It works out well cause you get new ball joint and new upper bushings

 

If there stock A arms you can't....if they've been changed before you can just replace the ball joint.

 

i think they all come with a arm and ball joint from parts stores...i got mine from napa when i replaced all my ball joints it was like 300 in parts(uncle hook up price)

 

I just replaced my upper ball joints and they were just the ball joints Not the A arm and ball joints....Autozone is where I got mine. $72 for 2 of them.

 

Do you have an aftermarket upper arm cause i dont think you can press out the bj from the ford arm

 

i got a whole kit off of ebay (upper arms, lower *****, tie rods and the sway bar end links) for around $150 but I had 3 bad ball joints so i figured i would replace them all. i could not find just a replacement ball joint for the top, all i could find was the whole arm
