Default Turning radius

In short, my turning radius is horrible. I made a wrong turn, and I seen an ambulance make a U-turn, so I decided if he can, I can. I couldn't, if I did I would have ended up on the side walk.

Anyway, what can make my turning radius better? Will a drop pitman arm help? I did not get one after the lift.

Massive amount of throttle upon initiating tight turns??? That's all I can think of.

Your restricted on steering angle by the cv shafts. More knowledgable people will probably chime in.

Big lift, after market rims, extended cab 4x4 truck.

None of those equate to a truck that can turn on a dime.

Give it a day and he'll be asking how to mount ambulance lights on his roof.

Its a 10+ year old truck. Its supposed to have a bad turning radius! My 2003 2wd is horrific, but I learned to get used to it as well... I don't expect to have a good turning radius with it.

Hey, I'd love ambulance lights on my roof so I could get past red lights lol.

So all in all, what will a drop pitman arm do for me?

It may give you a couple more degrees of steering lock. Doubt it would be noticeable(but I could be wrong) the biggest thing is that it will put steering linkage in a more comfortable position with less bind at the pivot points. Increase life expectancy of parts.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

OMG. You cant use a drop pitman arm. These trucks arent solid axle. Its IFS.
