4.2, intake gaskets, common problem...

A lean condition is a HOT condition... an excessive amount of unmetered air will cause it to run rough and hot...

I bet the intake gaskets are causing all your problems...

Spray Carb cleaner all around the intake manifold, all the seams, listen for changes in idle, change= leak...

Do that and get back to us...

Could also be your fuel filter, not enough fuel could cause a lean condition as well... but judging by the extreme heat, it's probably the intake

OK sprayed all over the manifold and hoses seams everything and no change whats so ever. Still overheating and running like crap. Also when the Temp spikes and redlines you can take the radiator cap right off becasue there is no pressure built up whats so ever.

- Low engine coolant level
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor harness is open or shorted
- Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical circuit poor connection
- Faulty Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor
- Faulty engine coolant thermostat

Change the ECT. It is most likely bad, causing the engine to overheat, and in turn causing bank 1 and 2 to run lean.

Driver side head next to alternator ....now would be a good time to flush the coolant inside the block...and the radiator as well. Might have to remove the alternator....inspect it, as well as the belt
