My trans doesn't wanna shift into overdrive when it's cold, but it will when it's warm without a problem. What's the best way to fix this issue

Drive around town for a few minutes in the morning before you take it to the highway. Stop and go traffic will warm it up real quick.

On some transmissions, the transmission will not lock the torque converter until the trans fluid reaches a certain temp. Are we talking about 4th gear or TC lock? Sometimes, one is mistaken for the other.

My Dakota (I know, Dodge) did that. If it was cold outside it would hold third until the tranny warmed up.

There is no issue. You need to be over a certain temp for tc lockup. I don't have the number handy but I think it is 90 degrees.

Fluid looks good and doesn't smell burnt. Truck only has 97,950 miles

Could make a smaller winter front for the tranny cooler if it is that bad but I wouldnt worry too much if it is just the tc lock.

When the line for the coolant hits the line closest to the C mine shifts into overdrive when it's cold outside
