Default Transceiver

Hello all I have a 2001 F150 that the transceiver was damaged while I was changing the tumbler. Ford no longer carries this and it has been discontinued. It's part of the Anti-Theft system so I'm not sure it can be bypassed but I'm asking what I can do since this piece is no longer available. Part number is 1L3Z15607aa please help
the theft light is blinking with a code 12

Tumblers are in the key cylinder. How did you damage the transceiver?

Amazon shows a seller. Ships from Amazon. They must have extra old stock. eBay has a seller too. I'd do Amazon first since you can return it if it doesn't work.

I don't know what the 12 code means. Might be a clue to something else.

Code 12 is no data from lock barrel pickup coil.
Don't think you need to replace the Transceiver. If you do this, it has to be reprogrammed and with two keys, from scratch or you will not be able to start the engine.
The key, the Dash and Transceiver all have to be part of the programing to send correct data over the Bus to the PCM and fill in a Word in the ID block.
.
You go from the frying pan into the fire as they say, with the hassle of it.
Good luck.

Here's a video. The transceiver reads the key code and sends it off to the instrument cluster which then allows the PCM to control engine starting. The instrument cluster and PCM are where the programming take place. If those two, and the keys, have not changed you should be able to swap in a transceiver and it should work. If the transceiver was the problem.

Didn't you see it when you removed the one from the wrecking yard? Not sure what's going on here.

Turn on the audio for the video. Watch and listen. The guy says "da plug come out right der" at about 0:10. You can see the plug.

It's a white plug with nothing connected to it. I edited my post above. Worth reading.

Default Transceiver ring

Hi just wanted to let u know I DID IT!!!! I FIXED MY TRUCK. I had some one takes it apart at the begining so I didn't know where anything plugged into that's why I was having such a hard time but something the part that he had got from the wrecking yard was the wrong part from the beginning and that part was still plugged in so I couldn't see where dare was. And plus he had taken my ship out of my key and put it into another key but never left the other tumbler so that's where another problem I was having so I changed the chip into my key back into my key original and when I popped the chip in my truck made a sound clicking noise so I knew something was happening right and sure enough she started right up never let anyone work on your vehicle if you can't figure it out yourself take it to a shop in my case I figured it out thank God thanks for everybody's help I appreciate it you're awesome love Ford forum!!!
