Do they vibrate at speed, even when retracted? Looks mean on your truck - even if you're passing (or plowing through) everything on the road except the gas pumps!

They do slightly, but no more than any extended mirror would. They weigh about 6 lbs a piece. Even on the OE Dodge flip outs and GM telescoping mirrors they vibrate. It is more caused by the road than anything else.

At least gas is still $3.41 in Lubbock and not yet in the $3.53 range like it is in Austin area.

it's 3.35 here, I went to Destin the other day and it was 3.65-3.70 for regular! Diesel costs about 3.65 where I am

Last fill-up was $3.69 for regular in Atlanta. Doubt those mirrors cut too badly into fuel economy. Were these a perfect fit - or did you have to mod any of the mounting holes or the wiring? My '98 had power and signal, but I had to replace the passenger one, and had to jury rig the mounting holes and of course, the signal didn't work. I just might junk them in favor of the ones you put on!

yea because that extra 12cents a gallon amounts to a whole $3 if you can manage to run your 25 gallon tank bone dry
the oil companies have us right where they want us, brainwashed to think anything under 3.50 "isnt that bad", when this time last year we were paying $2.50

and are we really discussing tow mirrors effecting fuel economy ? lol

anyway i like em zap, the stock mirrors are useless for towing, i might look into a set of those down the road, i just love how my side mirrors are color matched to the paint with the bumpers, but sometimes function beats form, and towing with the stock mirrors is a ****ty
