Default touchy steering

does anybody's 97 have very touchy responsive steering?

My 98 Expedition does. It is really annoying. It also has a lot tighter turning radius than my F150.

My 97 f150 is very touchy if I don't drive with 2 hands a bump could throw me slightly In the other lane. I was like how do I explain this but I had to ask .

My only explanation is a different gear box.... I don't know what else it could be.

I know I'd like to put the harder one on my Expy

A steering stabilizer may help with the sudden bump/jerk scenarios.

Might wanna look up "Bump Steer". Check out causes and fixes.

also, might be a good idea to check the front suspension/steering joints as a matter of course.
