Default Toggle Switch Install?

I was wondering if there is a thread anywhere on how to install a toggle switch? I'm going to be putting new footwell lighting in soon and I was thinking about putting it on a switch for itself. I searched for threads but I came up with nothing. Any help is appreciated.

Yea this is pretty basic 101. Might be hard to find a thread here but there will be plenty on Google.

What are you wiring up? I might be able to help out, no promises.

I want to wire some LED strips in the footwells to a switch so I can manually turn them on and off. Right now they're just wired to the headlight fuse so they come on whenever the lights do but I don't like that very much now.

Just run fused wire from any place with a 12+ (battery of fuse box). Then connect that wire to one of the pins on the switch. The other pin on the switch goes to the positive wire on the leds.

Just ground the led anywhere you want with a good connection.

I usually recoomend a relay, but with LED's the amps arent high enough to really hurt anything. Use a 2-5 amp fuse.

If its a lighted switch, just run a ground to the other terminal and your set.
