Default Tires

I have a 2002 Super Crew 4X4. I was wondering what is the tallest tires I can put on it. I have 16X8 American Racing rims, and i was wondering what are the tallest tires i can put on, without a lift, and without rubbing.

I have a set of 285/75/16 (not sure what height those amount to) but they do rub a little bit so I had to turn the torsion bars up a little bit. Then I put a lift kit in using the torsion keys, MISTAKE.

I have a 96 F150 4x4 extracab with 31's and there is no rubbing at all.
Stock suspension, no crank on the torsion bars either.
