I have the same question, same rims, and almost the same truck ('97 Xcab), but I don't know what a torsion crank is or what is meant by, "...a little trim in the front." I know I don't want a lift kit. Bigred's 285/75/16's look great (assumimg they are the ones in his gallery)

read my first or second post in this thread, I discribed the torsion crank there, and when I said trim, I was reering to the front plastic vailance as it comes back in to the wheel well area, and might need to be trimmed when running larger tires with no "lift"

Default 285/75r16

i too have a 2002 f150 supercrew 4x4 aswell. i just recently put on 285/75R16, i was told they were the largest for stock. they are mud-terrains and have plenty of clearance with no rubbing at all. Makes the truck look sweet!!! good luck!

Yes they are the ones in my gallery, that picture was taken without anything done but a small trim job, they still rubbed when I would turn sharp. I ended up putting in a leveling kit back in December, now I am removing it this spring due to the uncomfortable ride. If anybody you know is interested in this kit let me know. But yes I did do some trimming and they still rubbed.

you can put 33's stock with the torsion bars cranked, you can have 35's with a 4in suspension lift (a 3in body does nothing alone) or you can get 38's with 7in lift (4in suspension 3in body) and 9in (6in suspension 3in body can get 40's i believe)

the best look is a 6in suspension with 35's dont get a 4in suspension though its $100 less you might as well get 6 = ]
