Go with BFG's. I've know a few people with terra grapplers. They hate them. We warranty them through my work all the time for chunks of tread falling off. I would look at BFG A/T's or Toyo Open County A/T's or Cooper ST's. All very good tires.

Im not a hard core off roader and thats one of the main reasons I didnt go with a mud terrains, but I have seen some pretty nasty mud and snow and have yet to get stuck. I also find these tires are also great on snow covered roads and are very nice handling tires on dry roads. They could have alittle more grip on wet roads, but they dont hydroplane and thats the main thing. I read many reviews, and we have had alot of customers who have the dueler at revos, and they just dont seem to last. I bought my truck with the revos on it, and according to the service bill I got with the truck they only had 38,000 miles on them and I got another 2,000 miles out of them untill they were needed to be replaced. Another tire you may want to look into is the firestone destionation A/T, alot of people seem to like them. A friend of mine has the trail grapplers on his silverado, and they are a nice tire but his are wearing pretty fast, and he got stuck were I didnt, which could have been driving error or just luck. Look on tire rack, read the reviews. Its wat I did and im completely happy with my tires. Hope this helps!
what size tires is the 285/70/17 and kind do you have?

If your gonna go with a Nitto or a Bridgestone, go with the Bridgestone. Their a little pricey, but of the two, it's the better option. I would advise you to take a look at BF Goodrich. Their a good mid priced tire if you don't go off road. If you do go off road and you have deep pockets, go with Mickey Thompson. There super aggressive and will do very well in the trails, but they will tank your gas mileage and hum something fierce on pavement. Good luck!
i have some friends who have Mickey Thompsons an they take their truck in the spillway all the time an have no trouble, but like i said I want an all terrain because I drive to school and work and if I get a m/t if would wear fast

those tires do look fierce man, if I ever get some mud tires i will deff look into those!!

again thanks everyone for the input I'll deff be doing some research.

If you have the money buy nittos but myself wanted to get decently cheap but greatness. I have a 1998 f150 and i put 285/75/16 Mastercraft C/T they look wayyyyyyyy better than BFG A/T and there long lasting. just got mine couple weeks ago and they pull good for tire. there a mix between a/t and m/t but look very agressive if u want ill post a pic.

just my 2 cents.

These are the Nitto Terra Grapplers. Not very agressive, about average for an A/T, but they give a nice ride. Can't say how long they last because I've only had them on since November.
