I'm glad they are too... and agree, that shouldn't have been sent out, period.

I put this tank together with the Tacoma parts, and the 3D printed vapor pressure mount. I think it turned out rather well!!

Looks good, just need to pull the rubber pads off the old tank, sandblast them and glue them to the new tank.

I am going to replace it with sound deadener material. I just didn't get that far last night. I think I am also going to be getting the overflow valve from my Brother tonight.

Good work!

Is that rubberish fuel hose rated for that.. That's the only possible problem I can see for it's future,

It most likely was inspected by RA's people before it was shipped out to white. Their inspector (if they actually have some kind of QC dept ) prob didn't know what he was looking at the first time it was returned. Just that it looked shiny and new lol....put it back on the shelf.
RA pob would send it back to the manufacturer if they knew about it....it would be cheaper for them. Oh well, it happens.....dangit!

Thanks, Brew!!

I used fuel specific hose there... 13 bucks a foot.... I sure hope it lasts a good while. It's technically just vapors going through there.

No prob. Right SAE 30R6 or 30R7 Fuel/vapor hose is good enough.. Compression fittings for the transitions w/ferrules that match tubing material, or whatever you want.

Yea it may be a little more.

I'm also and only mentioning the above so you're aware of the options out there....if you weren't already.

Got the new wheels and tires on the truck.
Took it for a quick spin thru the neighborhood to do some full lock turns and backups in the court.
So far, no rubbing, the true test will be turning in and out of driveways.
Mine is flush with the surface of the roadway no curb.
