A byproduct of the willow tree getting removed is this dead patch. It's not getting enough water now that it's in the sun most of the day. I added a sprinkler to hopefully give it what it needs.
BTW.... when I changed the oil on that Ecoboost F150 the other day, he wanted an FL500S on it. I noticed this sticker INSIDE the box. Any idea what this EPC business is? New supplier maybe (hopefully)?

I bet Duncan was happy to see you when you got back.
It was great to revisit places I'd not been in 20+ years, and even more fun to share them with someone seeing them all for the first time with awe and wonder. I surprised her with the carousel in Port Dalhousie (she loves them), and we visited the Niagara Butterfly Conservatory which was awesome. There is absolutely nothing I would've changed.
EDIT: Yes, he just about lost his mind jumping up, sniffing, winding around my legs...

It just won't be the same
Anyway, what a light show, even a rainbow! Almost like you planed all that
She was in awe of the scale and power of the falls, loved the rainbows, was surprised by the lights, and overjoyed at the fireworks. "It just keeps getting better!," she said several times.
EDIT: Oh, and unrelated: I rented a Mazda CX-50 while we were there. I've been considering selling the F150 and the Acura and getting a small SUV. Aside from a few over-reaching "nanny" features, I could see myself in one of them. Just kicking tires right now, but I'm glad I got the chance to really wring one out. I think if I ever get serious about possibly buying something, I would want to rent one for a week. You learn a lot more about what it would be like to live with it in that time than you can ever glean from a short test drive.

No RFID on it. The barcode is a Code 128 of the number printed on it. A search on the Google just brings up the FL500S. I hung onto the label, just to have see if I see any other labels or variations.
I just had an interesting experience. I am replacing the brakes on the Explorer, and I called Autozone to see if they had the warranty replacements in stock. The lady told me that they discontinued the ceramic pads for the Explorer because they were having so many issues with them. So they gave me semi-metallics instead. She told me there was too much copper in the old style. It will be interesting to see how it plays out. Wish I would have taken a pic of the old pads.... they had big azz cracks through them.
EDIT: Turns out she's partially right. But the copper thing is for fish? What the hell? LOL.
