Driving home in the storm last night wasn't that bad. Counted 2 in the ditch on 275 S and 1 on 96 E. Looked like they just slipped off the road into the ditch. Locked the hubs in before leaving, then shifted on the fly here and there back home (appx 60 miles).
It was a little sketchy. The largest issue were the drivers in the center lanes doing 30 mph while every one else was taking it easy at 55/60. Those slower vehicles really mess up the works in this situation.
White,
Isn't the 5R55 the trans pan that is filled from the bottom through the existing drain plug?
My explorer and mountaineer both were like this and didn't have dipsticks.
Or was I just doing it wrong again?
Some of them are, but this one is filled from up top. I think the idiocy began in the 2002 models.
