Sun is out, frost is off the 'Yota. Might as well go out and freeze my fingers.

I replaced a light fixture on my Sister's front (north facing) porch yesterday. It didn't take long before I couldn't feel my fingers.

I'd take the cold vs California's blast furnace recently any day....what hell those people went through. What can you do with a nasty fire like that in 80-100 mph winds. Actor James Woods has my total respect, excellent human being right there.

Anyway, 20* on average here...9 Monday, that'll be the coldest day in the near future. 2-4" of the white stuff by tomorrow morning. Purdy lame...

Apparently there was an issue with a main trunk line for comms into Woodland Park which left a big dead zone for all sorts of services.

When I called Verizon, they said they had no reports of an outage. Well, with just about *every* service out, I wonder why! Lol! The "technical" rep I talked to just couldn't understand why/how I was reporting an outage but calling from my cell phone. Easy... Starlink internet was working and my cell phone was using the internet. Duh!
LMAO.

Verizon isn't the only one that will say that...I think most do. Crazy part, their own outage map says different. It's like customer service is the last to know... anything.

Guess we do have fiber out here, just seen these guys in town, - https://www.123.net/

Was waiting on a train. They have 4 or 5 guys spaced, chiseling through the frost by hand with ice picks locating lines. One guy standing next to the machine hands in pockets...looks like he's cold ? Diehards for sure.

I took advantage of the heat wave and took the Christmas decorations down and put them away.

I am seeing some ice reports on the big lake coming in.
Thinking if this keeps up, I might get some ice fishing in this year.

Chit....I just checked a live feed and there are already shanty's out on the ice !

Doesn't look like it's going to be above freezing for another 7 days....not by much though, and not for long. For a little more than a day.

We're gonna be in a bad way if we don't start getting some more snow.
