It's been pretty cold here as well.... at least too cold to do anything productive. I revved up the garage furnace again last night to transfer the sensors on that transfer case motor harness.
I wasn't too impressed. I had to drill 1/8" holes for the wires on the plug dust cover.

I actually hit the elliptical this AM. I went back to the beginning of a series a couple weeks ago, and jumped back in today on workout #3. Got done and thought, "That was pretty tough.". That's because it was W/O #7 of 10 instead.

So im pretty sure that i have a frozen thermostat. I have my SCT plugged in so i can monitor temp voltage ect and noticed that even when it is warm out, it barely gets over 170'. It runs at about 165 on average. I know that the stock thermostat is 190. I am going to be replacing it this weekend, but as usual, just wanted to ask if there are any surprises or is it straight forward? Also, what would the negatives be if i have been driving around with it like this if any?

EDIT: Also, put the bleed hole (or notch if using a Stant SuperStat) to the 12-o' clock position when installing.
If you've been driving with a stuck-open t-stat, the truck was likely running rich which will affect mileage and over time can cause carbon deposits on plugs. In extreme cases, it can be hard on the cats.

It's just a thermometer with three remote sensors. This specific one is no longer available, but I'm sure there are similar ones that are.

I wish it had hi/lo alerts, but it doesn't. I'd use them for the freezer and the garage.

Still have this one in the Amazon saves, -
It's been there for 5 years or so lol. I think folks complained about them giving out or just not being accurate... Think it was the sensors varying in accuracy or something. Why I never pulled the trigger from what I recall. Seems like the price went down though...thought they were over 100, could be wrong.
Weather station would cool as well. See what I did there ?
